MediaTek, at MWC 2023, showcased its 3GPP Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) technology that brings two-way satellite communications to smartphones. At MWC 2023, Oasis Smart SIM along with TATA Communications revealed their latest innovation, CloudSIM™. It is a remote hardware SIM which is stored in a dedicated, secure, GSMA-certified environment. CloudSIM™ is primarily aimed at use cases that do not require permanent connectivity. By limiting the number of profiles required for fleet operations and providing on-demand connectivity, it reduces the overall cost of connectivity.
